It has both an ‘old town’ and a ‘new town’, each with its own high street.The old town to the south is a conservation area and is built in the traditional cross shape lined with 17th and 18th century buildings.
Denham village is located east of Gerrards Cross just north of junction 1 of the M40.
Both towns have a mainline station including a train service that goes into London Marylebone station, close to Baker Street.
Also both have easy access to the M40 which runs from Birmingham, via Oxford, to London with easy access to the M25 motorway (London Orbital Motorway) making them popular commuter locations.
Holtspur is an area of Beaconsfield to the west which has slightly smaller houses and a few local shops.
Knotty Green is on the north side of Beaconsfield and is really only distinguishable as a different area because it falls under a different local authority.
